ok guy iam back with some more info on 89 merc 5.7l as i said the engine hard start after a run and shut down, when i first go to the boat it start right away. <br /><br />this is waht i notice today my starboard riser is hot that i caunt keep my hand on it. the port is running cool and nice.<br /><br />on my way to the fishing ground i notice my oil guage slightly falling from 40 to about 15 cutting back on the throttle bring it back up to 35.<br /><br />when i came in i pull the risers and i saw some water in the manifold i took out the plugs and crank the engine and just a small spew out<br /><br />my??? is can a bad manifold cause overheat ??<br /><br />could that be my problem hard starting after a run and sit for a while.<br /><br />also my risers a brand new the manifold are, as is <br /><br />also could there be a bad head gasket . ?? <br /><br />help don and friends i think i am getting close, i will put two new risers
