Maint Manual

I have a 1989 19' Regal with a 4.3L V6 Merc I/O engine. Any idea where I can pick up a maintenance manual for the engine? Thanks

I picked my Clymer manual for mine at my marine dealer...Great manual to say the least..($30)

pete, I don't want to burst your bubble about that clymer, but you will find that it is not as good as you think. Someone will be along and post a picture of the best place to put it!

Definately go with Don's post and buy the real thing. He know what he is talking about. The Clymers is a really poor aftermarket manual. Seloc is marginally better but don't waste your money on the poor manuals when you can get the real thing. I wish the same site existed for OMC manuals.

Would Seloc be good for mercruiser/alpha drive combinations?....Just curious..I'm just a "garage" boat mechanic...hmmm..or "shade tree" you could say..So far the "minor" repairs I've done has been good with the Clymer..The previous owner who had my boat recommended them.....not meaning to argue....Thanks,Pete

Wait till tomorrow morning and I am sure Don will post his opinion. He really dislikes the Clymer and did not something alot better about the Seloc but if you have to choose, I think the Seloc must be better. I also have a Clymers and Don got me for quoting out of it. If you got a Merc, get a Merc manual from the site Don posted above. That would be my suggestion.

Listen to Don, spend the the money on a Merc manual. And when Don speaks, LISTEN! He won't stear you wrong.
