Re: Oil overfill
You're saying that you pulled the excess oil out with an extractor that had been used with a mixture of oil and water and you are thinking you got enough water this way to show foam?

Hmmmm....

Water (if it is in the engine and has not emulsified) will be on the bottom of the pan. If you can drain the oil/water from the plug, that will let you know if you do have water in there, (again, if the motor has not been run with the water in it causing it to emulsify (mix with the oil).

I'd be a bit concerned with it still showing foam though.

Do you think you can get a picture posted of what you're seeing on your dipstick?

Just as a suggestion, (and I did this), next time (hopefully never), just get a new extractor. I ALMOST used my old one with emulsified oil in it, but thought I'd better just spring for a new one having just put new power in. I'm sure that what was suggested was not using an extractor that had been previously used to pull a mixture of oil and water!

Again, good luck and post a picture of the contamination you are seeing now. I'm not a mechanic, but I do know emulsified oil when I see it! It would help the professionals in here better direct you on what to do next if they can tell how bad/not bad the problem you're seeing is.
