When i bought my boat was a dark blue color with some ugly grey on the inside,it looks like prime,i want to know if im doing the right thing to repaint the boat...<br />I start useing some peel away the west marine recoment me to peel the paint easy,but still kinda hard,then i try to sand it and it work little better,but i didnt get all the blue paint out,i when to west marine and buy some primer i forgot the brand,i put it on, sand it with the water sand paper not to hard,then i bough the paint i want it and paint little part of the boat to see how it was gonna look,it looks fine,but i wanna know if i have to sand it by hand again after i paint it all and then put clear coat or something? first time i do this so not sure if im doing it right..

Best I can tell you is to follow the directions on the paint can, 100%.. <br /><br />Most paints are manufactured to be used as a system of products from primers, thinners, and paints specific to each brand.. <br /><br />Stick to using one brand of products.. Don't use brand B's primer, then use brand P's paint thinned with brand X's thinner or solvents... Results won't be good...
