Inflatable boat cleaner and paint?

hello,<br /><br />i just got a free 10' gray inflatable and was wondering what to use to clean it.. it is stained and dirty... and also was wondering if anyone has used the paint i've seen at west marine.. does it work and look good if preped right?<br /><br />thanx in advance<br /><br />cheers!!<br /><br />dave<br />s.e. michigan

Dunno about paint, but Star Brite do a cleaner which is supposed to be very good.

I painted an old Quicksilver inflateable once. I sold it soon after though, too soon to know how well it lasted/worked. Looked like new though..... :rolleyes: <br /><br /> paint<br /><br />If you go this route, stick with the same color as the paint can scrape off!

I repainted the vinyl covered sunvisors in my van a few years ago, used a special flexible paint that's meant for that kind of stuff and it sticks like the proverbial, still looks as good as new and there's no way it'll come off no matter how hard you scrub it.<br />There's also a special paint that's used on vinyl banners, I've made handpainted banners that are out in all weathers and they last for years, the stuff doesn't crack or peel, in fact the vinyl starts to look bad before the paint does!
