First of all, thanks to all those who answered my questions during the restoration process. This forum is the best! I have recommeded it to all those I know who boat. I say 95% complete because every boat will always need something done. :D
Hi Karrick nice job on your boat. Would you know if Starcraft is the parent of Smokercraft or vise versa? I have a 1994 17.5ft, smoker that has the same rib construction and same wide nose shield. I push mine with a 130hp johnson, love my unit thanks J, C.

What a great project.

Those boats are light enough to float on wet grass and are tougher than Chinese Algebra.

I'm proud of ya. I don't think any fish is safe when ya back down the ramp to unload. LOL.

I like to call it my clearance boat.
The only thing I bought at regular price was the trolling motor. The PT plywood decking&transom I got around $30 a sheet, the carpet I got for 50% off at Lowes. The seats are leftover from the original with a lot of staples to put the seat covers back together. Dad had a lot of bolts/screws/misc harware around his shop as well as enough scrap wire to completely re-wire the trailer and wire the boat. Seat pedastool and bases where on special at the local boat dealer. Life jackets, oar, fishfinder all at garage sales. 3 new tires for trailer at cost from local car dealership(thanks Dad).
I figure I have around 1200 in it. It's worth all that and more to me. It only took me about 4x longer to complete the project than I originally thought. I may think about painting it in a year or so. I do know that the fish don't care if the paint is shiny
