Drain hole

Under the floor of my 85 bayliner, in the bilge there is a bilge pump down there and a white plastic tube that runs out towards the transom, back of the boat. When I go to the outside of the boat, there is a plug right behind the engine. I removed the plug but I think the hole is stuck, because no water comes out the drain hole. when I try to stick a rod into either end, it seems that I hit a wall. Is this a stright tube or is it 90 degree angled? Thanks.

Re: Drain hole

It should be straight drain, the bilge pump hose should go up one side of the engine at the rear to a fitting high on the side or transom

Re: Drain hole

Hi, Thanks for the reply. The old owner removed the bilg pump tube from the fitting on the side, however this is different. this is much lower, like I said, under the floor, under the stringers, in the back, there is a drain pipe I figured went out to this drain on the outside of the boat, right behind the engine. I reomved the plug, however the water won't drain. I stuck a steel rod into the hole, to see if it were gunked up, and it is not, it feels like I am trying to push the rod throught something real hard...
