Re: Mark42, look here.

Wow! I am now an international personality! Want my signature? :D

That was very nice of you to make the refernce. My family and me get a real kick out of hearing about how far and wide information about my boat travels.

Btw, today is my birthday. I am no longer 42. Guess I'll have to change my handle to Mark47. :D

Re: Mark42, look here.

Thanks,Jcrain! I think its going to be a good one. Already got a call from my daughter wishing me happy birthday before the bus picks her up for kindergarden. Can't beat that.

Hey Tangels, any chance of us getting a look-see at that article? Maybe scan it and post on shareaproject or the like? I'm putting a reminder in Outlook in October so I don't forget. Stil have plans for the CD/DVD of the build?

Mark.

Oh good tengals! You're going to tackle another project? That will be a joy to watch if you chronicle it like the last one. Did you get your hull fixed and repainted?

Also, dare I ask, have you bothered to tally up the cost of your last project? I have yet to do that for mine yet. I intend on posting it once I do. I will give it by catagory as well as total. And no, I won't include the cost of my stolen motor.

Don't mean to hijack your thread but just a note. I've had my boat out for two trips. The initial one, a week and a half ago (40 minutes) then about a 4 hour cruise last Sunday. For two weekends now I've scheduled boat/play days, w/ boat loads of kids, but the weather has not cooperated. We are running out of water play day weather quickly. If we don't get suitable weather within the next two weekends, the demanding trial will have to wait until next year.

Re: Mark42, look here.

hehehe, sounds like we have the same weather at both ends of the earth. It is very frustrating.
I have fixed the repair in the hull. I have sanded it, just need to prime and paint it. My total cost including the original price of the boat and the new powerplant, was $13,674AUD. That included 12 moths insurance, rego, trailer EVERYTHING. If no motor it would have been under $10,000AUD. I also sold some of the old stuff that came off from around $1000AUD, the total man hours was 532 logged.

I'd hate to see how long it's going to take me to weld a 6 metre cuddy cab, prep it, prime it, spray it, fit it out, power it, finish it, make trailer for it, paint trailer for it...........(continues).....if ya get my drift.

cheers
