repainting stingray

a friend of mine has a 1989 stingray svb192 SS and we are wanting to repaint it. Can someone please help me with instructions that we might need or tips to help us. It has a blue and white hull right now and we want to paint it all black with a red spider web design.. just want to make sure we do it right and make it look good.

It's Just Like painting a Corvette,..........<br /><br />Sandpaper,.... Tape,..... Paint,...... And Time........... <br /><br />The Better it's Prepped,.......<br /><br />The Better it'll Look...............

Use Polyurethane paint. Two part poly paint is best, but costs more. One part poly paint is for above wateline use only.

thanks for your information.. we are hopeing to take this 1989 stingray and turn it into something that just came off the production line.
