Well I'm not sure if I'm up to it or not, but I'll tell you this.....I won't give up until she is finished. I am going to do my best to restore my 1974 18.5ft Southwind ski boat with a Merc 115hp OB. She needs: Floor, Stringer, Transom, interior upholstery etc.. I am recently a newbie to these forums but I have done a lot of reading of the posts and I must say that you all have given so much good info on restoration and the like that I feel that even someone like me can do it. I will keep you posted on the progess, pics included, so any helpful advice or criticism is welcomed. Thanks again..

Share a project, 1974 Southwind Resto

Re: My first boat project

Roostmaster,

Looks like you well on your way. There's nothing like refitting an old worn out boat and bringing it back to it's former glory. Everyone here on Iboats sure is a big help and we love to see projects like yours. I'm currently refitting a 21' Larson Commander that was neglected for quite a few years. I've got it on Share-a-Project also. Keep us posted....

21' Larson Commander

I will definitely keep you all posted on my progress. I'm going to need all the support I can get. And if it wasn't for these forums I wouldn't even begin to attempt this sort of project. I already feel like my knowledge of boats in general has grown tremendously in just the past week of reading in here. YOu all are very helpful and I really appreciate the posts. By the way good luck with your project also K.
