wet stringers

I have removed the rotten transom and am going to start the replacement next week. what I found was the last 1.5" of the stringers are rotten also. but anything forward of that is just wet. If I push on the stringer wood, water comes to the surface. I have ground the glass off in several spots going forward and this appears everywhere. will this ever dry or should I cut it all out? thanks<br /><br />lingcod

Cut it all out. When else are you going to have the transom off and the floor exposed?
