Earlier in February I brought home a 1961 Mirrocraft (I have posted a few pics on here), and a 1962 Evinrude. I have restored the evinrude ( Fisherman ), and now am starting to redo the boat. Not really a restoration, but just me trying to make this thing look better.

Here are a few pics (thumbnails) of the boat when I bought it.

As you might be able to tell from the pics there is a noticeable hook in the hull from this thing smashing into something. I probably will leave that as is, since it isnt a performance machine or anything.....also the piece of wood on the transom is pretty loose and is split. I am making a new one out of solid oak, that I am staining and sealing. Heres a pic of the new transom.

Here is the boat after I ground off all of the loss paint. I then etched the bare aluminum with a 50/50 solution of water and vinegar.

Here is the boat after I painted it. I chose to go with "aluminum" as the color. Aside from the paint I used being impossible to get off my hands and pieces of my paint sprayer, I am pleased with the results. Just have to put new registration numbers on it an I'm good to go.
