am/fm cd player

i just took out a jvc am/fm cd player out of my daughters car that was just traded in. the system was instaled in Dec for a christmas present, so its still new. will it work in my boat since it is not a marine type radio.

thanks for the reply. i will install it in the dash, i have the room, and put a cover on it. again thanks. also i will get marine speakers.
