I'm looking for the perfect camp/cruiser.

I'm located in Colorado, so it is likely that the boat will be trailered to Washington, Maine, Florida, etc. by our wimpy 6 cyl SUV rated for 3k-5000 lbs. w/out killing the already dismal gas mileage.

Does anyone know of a decent semi-vee alum. center console? ~17'

Priorities:

Weight - Ideally under 1500 lbs w/ Trailer
Durability - Suited - beaching & abuse
Looks - Not ugly or typical bass boat
Self Bailing
Seating for 2 adults, 1 child
Stable enough to dive/snorkel from

Suggestions greatly appreciated.

anotarian@hotmail.com

Take a look at Klamath and Gregor Aluminums. There built in the Northwest. Light, tough and center consoles available.

Bayrunner is another fine choice. Same lines as the Klamath. For real durability look at Pacific Skiff from Bothel, Washington. This is a top shelf boat.
