Okay guys. the 12/24 system has thrown me off. I have a 92 model boat that has the 12/24 motor guide brute model no 750 on it. Well, it's not working at all when I switch to 24. Works fine on 12. I've replaced the switch. Checked all three holes for the jack and all have juice. Both batteries have new breakers. Where else could this problem be? I need to rewire the whole front of the boat, but if I could get trolling on 24 I can hold off. Wind is getting bad on the lake and I need some extra power. Thanks fellas. Plus, if anyone can tell me the how the whole 12/24 system works and how it's wired. Maybe this won't be a problem anymore.

Start at the batteries. POS on battery #1 goes to one of the terminals on the plug. POS on battery #2 goes to another pin on the plug. Both NEG terminals on the batteries are tied together and then another wire off of one of those NEG terminals goes to the plug. You cannot have "juice" as you call it on all three pins in the plug. Black is ground. Measure red to black should show 12V. Measuring orange to black should read 12V. 24V is handled by the motor switch. If you have 12V as described, the problem is either in the motor itself or the switch. I've seen other posts here where the 12/24 switch is defective and replaced several times. Without a schematic I can't help diagnose that but I suspect you have a motor/switch problem.
