IMHO that is a bit much to invest in a motor that is 22 years old. Here's an example of a 75 hp evinrude with PTT 1981 model from the NADA guide.

Model: E75TRLCI
Motor Type: Gasoline
Volts (Electric Motors):
Thrust (Electric Motors):
Horsepower: 75
Cylinders: 3
Start Type: Electric
Dry Weight: 250
Power Tilt and Trim: Yes
Low Retail: $270
Average Retail: $320

$1895, NO... Maybe $895 if it's in REALLY good shape...

No Trim & Tilt!... Find another one... You'll need T&T on that size motor... ;)

I agree that NADA is simply a rough guideline and that actual prices depending on region and overall condition will vary, however $1500 is quite a descrepancy and if you were to ever sell or obtain a loan against your purchase you'll be looking at a similar appraisal square in the face.

Guys THANKS !! I almost jumped the gun and made a mistake, I looked at some other stuff the seller had for sale and most of his stuff is way over priced, this being my first motor bigger than an evin 9.9 I want to make sure I make no mistakes..guess I need the T&T for sure huh? I wish I knew where to find NADA priced motors, I couldnt be so lucky !! I did want the motor it matched my kicker ! Guess I will keep looking
