hey all new ta the board ....hoping ta find sum info on a starflight 4 ...4/Fifty....don't have serial number at this point ....will get soon ...was wondering if there is a site thatcan help me ta identify ....and where I can get a gasket kit ....will do more research 4 the serial #....Thanks ta all ......1morecast

1morecast <br />The model number will most likely star 505?? and looks like it is part of the serial number. The local dealers here called them a "Fat 50" and thats all I tell them other than the year and what I want. Good luck finding the parts they are out there!<br />Richard

here is a good website for you to find out what year your outboard is http://mitglied.lycos.de/old_omc/ this will help you find it try the year 1959. there is a catalog for that year that you can look at online to see if that is your outboard. if it is it lists all of the model # for that year. if you need any more info. I'm getting a service manual that covers 1952-1972 evinrude/johnson 50hp-120hp. I will look it up and tell you what you want to know.
