My prop ended up in the bottom of Rainy Lake. I'm trying to replace it but can't find the correct prop. I have an old 15 hp Evinrude not sure of the year. Serial number: 18402D-E07328. My marina needs a model number and I can't find it. My research has yielded no definite answers, leaning toward a standard prop, 17 pitch but not sure.

Re: prop replacement

Hello.
Good news. ;)
It's an eighteen horse and it is a 1964.
What sort of "marina" could not figure that one out for you?
You will probably need the rest of the stuff that went down with your prop as well.Your chances of getting those parts, are probably better at an old time OMC dealer.

Now is the time to do your home work. This is the
time to get the exact prop you need. Go to someone that really knows their stuff.I dont have much faith in your marina.A poorly matched prop can ruin your performance and your motor.
Need to know the size of your boat approx. weight wheather you run with a load most of the time or alone.Basicly Less pitch gives better hole shot and load power.Higher pitch gives more top speed
but less hole shot and load power.Try www.gkpropeller.com Dont know if they do small stuff. Its also important with your little motor and little boat that you travel with as little
weight as is safe. and be sure you distribute the weight carefully can mean the difference between planing and not. Happy boating.
