I have a 25HP Johnson Electric Start Long Shaft Motor. The Model # is 25EL758. So the 25 is HP and the EL is Electric/Long Shaft. I think the 75 is the year. What does the 8 mean? Or am I all wet!?
I'm thinking your engine is newer than 75, if my memory serves me right EL's were in the eighties however there should also be a letter in front like E25EL----
