Ive got a racing 13ft. rinker tunnel hull with a 25hp evinrude 1986, it has been bored .30 and also has no rev limiter, boat revs to the edge of 10,000 at wot, I was told I could bolt either a 35hp or 50hp carb right up, as long as the intake manifold opening was matched to the throat of the bigger carb? I have a intake off of a 35 and it will bolt right up, I am just not sure about the 50 hp one.

I would stick to the 35. The 50 is a twin, with 2 carbs, and i think the carbs are same size than the 25 HP. You will have to use the intake plate from a 35, and probably the reedplate as these two are different too. The intake plate is higher mesured from cranckcasehalf to carbgasket, to let more air in. The changes will turn your motor to a 35 HP if it is newer than 84, and the leg is thru hub exhaust type.

What sort of speed did you get out of that rinker? I just bought one with a 55 johnson and am wondering what to expect
