Evinrude 60 Quits

Have a 94 Evinrude 60. New powerhead last season. Runs good (5200 rpm), starts easy, but as i was running down river, engine shut down, no alarms. Would not turn over for a minute. Then refired without incident. Not first time this has happened. Any ideas?

The pistons may be sticking, should be proped to turn about 6000 rpms, several service bulletins on this engine. I would do compression test, if within specs, do the service bulletins, complete check of fuel system for pressure and air leaks. Timming has been changed also, but I dont have specs.

Compression checks at 125, 110 and 125. Some oil is coming from bottom of engine.

If you have a warranty with the new powerhead, take it back to dealer. I think the middle is the one sticking, I would remove the head and look at the cylinder.
