motor is hard to start,when started it runs fine with a good stream, But on occations it gives an alarm and runs very rough,after shutdown it runs normal again any input is welcome thanks.

Mar576.... If that engine has the "slow" feature, (white wire with black stripe at heat sensor in cyl head), and the alarm that you mention is a constant steady beep, the engine is overheating. If so, inspect/change the water pump.
