Someone please help!<br />My motor ran perfectly 2 weeks ago. I went to start it yesterday and it would not start. The plugs are wet,the fuel line into the carb is not plugged. When I put fuel into the throat of the carb the engine fires and runs until it burns what I put down the throat. I did notice that there seems to be no fuel going into the carb when pump from the line. I believe the needle in the carb is clogged. If this is the case how do I clear the clog. Please help! Thanks in advance.

FishHawk.... If that float needle valve isn't jammed too bad, it can be freed by temorarily disconnecting the inlet fuel hose, then applying a small amount of air pressure via a air compressor to the inlet fitting. The alternative is to remove the top portion of the carb to free it manually. If the carb is gummed/fouled, the best thing to do is remove, clean, and rebuild it. Good Luck....

Joe Reeves is right. I would only add that every time I just freed my float and needle valve assembly it just restuck. If you are in it go ahead and replace the needle valve, seat, and float. It only costs about $20 and saves a lot of headaches. Make sure when you set your new float that it is level with the carb when turned upside down.
