WhenI fill lower unit with gear lube, its the color of oil. When I drain it, the gear oil is a sickly light green color. Is this OK?

Definitely not, Niglet. You are getting water in your gearcase.<br /><br />New seals, not usually a DIY job, will probably fix that.<br /><br />Good luck
