Evinrude 25 hp --need year, my model numbers don't match the listings!

Just bought two used evinrudes --one from australia, one from Belgium. Have looked at other postings and my model number doesn't have the same code (from Australia) and the one from Belgium doesn't have a model number on it. The Oz motor has model #: 25602 E serial number A305219 , the belgian one is 25 5B 62 B then <br />B 6317. both are 25 HP, the Australian one has the CDI units in a different spot than the belgian one and seems to be newer. Any ideas?

Boating Tai,<br />25 hp evinrude #25602E is a 1976 model<br />25 hp evinrude #25 5B 62 B is a 1975 model

Wow, you sure about that? the one made in Oz (25602e)looks to be pretty new. The guy I bought if from brought it over from Australia, the other one he had bought here in Thailand. Would that make any difference to the year/model number relationship?

Wow, unbelievable then, because the Australian outboard is practically unused, guess I just lucked out. could you explain the differences in the electrical systems?? They are not the same at all, did something change from 75 to 76?
