Anyone know the correct head bolt torque for a 1952 Johnson TN-28 5hp outboard? Also was there ever published a "Chilton" type service manual for these older engines? We are primarilly an antique wooden boat rebuild/restoration shop, but once or twice a year a customer shows up with an oldie that we end up fixing. Thanks.

Do a search on the internet on Antique OB's. There are several excellent websites with people who can help you immensely.

BTW, I have a TN-28 too. Trying to bring her back into shape. I was amazed at the parts I could still find for her. Really incredible how the WWW has given us the means to find goodies that were previously unavailable.

Good Luck,

John
