On almost every outing the motor will bog down after running fine for miles. It will not die but won't rev back up to normal unless it gets revved up in nuetral. The same symptom occurs after trolling and then attempting to take off, except then the motor must be turned off for a couple minutes or it will just stay bogged down. My first thought was it was flooded but there was never a strong raw gas smell. So far I have been able to get back to the landings but this is getting old fast. I looked for holes at fuel lines too. Thanks for previous help.

Hi Ifish<br /> I believe your motor has the S.L.O.W (speed limiting overheat warning) feature built into the power-pac. This is actuated by the heat sending unit in the head. When the motor overheats it limits rpm. I'm not sure this is the problem. When was the last time you serviced the cooling system?

Fish....if alcan is right the engine will not go above 2500rpm until the SLOW resets. Can you recall the rpms when the engine "bogs down"?

Disconnect tan wire at powerpack, this will bypass S.L.O.W. If this solves the problem, engine is over heating, temp sensor is bad, power pack is bad, blocking diode in engine harness shorted, tan wire grounded, or voltage present on tan wire from shorted alarm horn/switch.
