Johnson year?

Can you tell me the year for this motor?<br />Johnson Seahorse 75.<br />Model No. J75ERLCIM Serial No. BOO4981<br />Can you tell me if this motor is generally a good one.The motor is on a 14ft marina and I would normally expect this size to make a small boat go really well but it only just gives enough power to to pull my 13stone out of the water on two skis and it doesn,t accelerate very quickly although it does sound sweet enough. What would the best prop be and any other suggestions for things to check over to give more get up and go. Many thanks.

Is my motor really this old because in the tables you mention it looks like your calculations point to a little motor not a 75. If it is this old then maybe that is why there isn,t much power. Any more views on the age of my 75 would be appreciated.
