i have a johnson 70 hp vro engine,<br />while swapping starter battery, accidentally reconnected starter cables to motor backwards<br /><br />connection was made for about 3-4 seconds after which a small amount of smoke came from under the motor cover<br /><br />have some knowledge of boat motors but no expert<br />suspect that i wasted something in the power pack or solenoid<br /><br />i can repair myself, just need help<br /><br />i'm sure i'm not the first to do this and feel pretty stupid<br /><br />thanks<br />rustoleum :<br /><br />i thank all in advance for your replies, after i fix this ,i'm sure i'll be back to this board...
