Hey Larry....is that frapachino or crapachino??

Actually, there are four places you can get water infiltration. (just a big word for "OH Crap!".

Prop shaft seal, shift rod O-ring, drive shaft seals and the O-ring on the bearing carrier.

Easiest way to find it, drain the lower unit of oil, rig a bicycle pump up to the lower unit, put about 10psi of air in the lower unit and put the whole thing in water and look for the bubbles.

But...since the old girl has some age on her, opt for a complete re-seal of the lower unit. And as long as yer in there, throw in a new water pump impeller to round out the job. If your gettin' water in there that quick, don't wait to long to get it fixed.

Larry, If there is any water separation present ,the water will sink to the bottom of the oil.One other possibility of water intrusion is the fill and vent screw seals.

ok, here is what is going on
replaced milky oil first time by pumping fresh oil in and letting it drain out of top vent
it looked milky , then after pumping about 30 ounces of gear oil it was clear so i replaced screws and went to the lake ran for 2 hours
took it home drained it again and it looked ok
the stuff that came out the first time was not milky and no water at bottom of bottle, just dirty oil , so to be safe i drained it properly
and re filled it with freash stuff after running it today no milky color , so far so good ...
