i have a johnson 35 seahorse, don't know what year, but probably in the 60's. when i got the boat the top cynlinder would fire and the bottom wouldn't. got that problem fixed, now the top one is not getting gas, i have a good spark, but the plug is dry when i pull it out. this is driving me nuts. any suggestions?

Welcome to iboats.com.
Three things can cause this.
A compression problem (rings, holy piston syndrome, scored cylinder walls ect).

A reed stuck open.(or stuck closed)

An exaust blockage (Carbon built-up inside the exaust port of that cylinder).

I would take a compression test before I went any further. This could possibly tell the whole tale.

If not check your reeds.
