I recently purchased an older boat and motor. The motor is an evinrude 35 model 35753H electric start. I think it is a 1977 model from what I have been able to find. I have two questions - 1. what gas oil mix do I use? The guy said he was using 25:1 but that seemed a little oil rich and he kept getting fouled plugs.
2. I have been searching for a basic owners manual online just to download the basics and can't find one. Can anyone help me?

that motor should be run on 50to1 mixture . that is what i run my 79 on also my 74 50 hp if you are going to do a lot of idling you could put les oil. i was told that the vro puts less oil in when idling . when i rebuilt my 50 hp i added some extry oil . it foweled the plugs . i use a
QL77jC4 in my 1979 papasage...................

Is the Nissan motor the same specs? I looked at the web page you sent me and it had the Nissan model numbers listed. Can I equate one of them to my Evinrude?
Thanks for the replies.

No they are not. Just for the basics.
You'd be much better off with the proper repair manual for your engine.
I don't know exactly what basic's you are looking for. Sorry.

http://www.outboardrepairs.com/manuals/
