1992 150 johnson won't start

I have a 1992 150 johnson that quit running, I pulled a spark plug hood and ran a screwdriver from the connector in the hood to the top of the plug, turned the engine over and did not get any spark. I did the same thing on the other 150 on the boat and got spark. A friend told me the power pack was not working, any assistance would be greatly appriciated.<br />Dennis

Well, a power pack is one possible problem. If you have another 150 that's identical I would try swapping the power pack over and see if it does work. If not, then you can eliminate that and try other parts in the ignition system. You have the luxury of being able to swap parts without haveing to buy them all.
