A special thanks to the help from you guys in this site.

I had been in here watching the posts for almost 2 months berfore I ever posted one of my own. Looking and learning. I picked up enough to go from knowing nothing, to doing a light/medium rebuild on an old johnson.

I own 90% of the work I was able to do you guys, and the other 10% to my old man who taught me to not even make eye contact with a motor unless I get a manual.

My 5 year old son has been waitin to fish all spring, poor kid has been as patient as a little one can be. He about fell off the boat when he landed a "monster" 4 inch blue-gill on our maiden voyage yesterday.

Thanks again for the help....

-rooky

Also, I will try to help out some other folks when I gain a little more knowledge but I don't think anyone should take my advice just yet.

Great for you! (and the kid)

Sure hope dad landed something bigger than four inches!!!

Keep up the good work, and enjoy those fishing trips with the boy - speaking as one raised by a fisherman, he'll never forget those times if you make him feel special while he's on the water with you. Just keep him safe, too.

Sounds like you're off to a great start!
