I have a pair of '94 Johnson 200s. There is a tell tail inside the engine cover that is spraying. The tell tail on the back external cover is working fine. Where do these tell tail go to or do I just plug them off? I can't see and connection any where. Thanks for your help.

You've probably got a plugged up hose. That "tell Tail" inside your engine cover is supposed to function as a syphon not a tell tail. Check all the hoses in the system for restrictions.

That makes sense, thanks. Any suggestions as to where the plugging could be? It is strange that both engines are doing this and they are streaming a healthy amount of water. I'll take a look around and again thanks for that advice.

Don't know about up there, but here in Ky. we have them little varmints that I call mud dobbers that built them little igglo looking houses out of mud.

Well they love to build inside the water tale tells of outboard engines, and if they do, it will stop it up.

OK, I've pulled the thermostat, and the pressure valve. Everything was very clean inside. The funny thing is is that both engines are streaming strong from the same elbow at the base of the block and the engines are from different parts of the country. I'm stumped as to what it could be. I'm really in need of some direction of what to take apart next? I've back flushed through the center rear. What can I look at next. Would it help to connect a hose and blow though the the block elbow. What am I missing here? Thanks so much for any assistance. Oh yeah, the buzzer goes off after 5 minutes of running but water is streaming strong from 'both' tell tails

Is it possible the previuos owners used this for a water pressure gauge? Can I just plug them off. I was told this was a suction fitting, but I can figure that out either? Please help, someone.
