recoil Johnson 8 hp Model J8RCRM

I need to know how to preload the recoil spring on a Model J8RCRM. i had to loosen it up to get the carb off and the spring jumped of the lower cap.<br /><br />Thanks <br />Tim

Hi, TDNPUR12.<br /><br />You need to manually turn the spool a few turns before reattaching the rope.<br /><br />Good luck.
