heavy oil leak on 83 johnson 90hp v-4

I have an '83 Johnson V-4 90 H.P. outboard which recently has developed a drip of what looks like a heavy greasy oil. The greasy oil almost looks like grease that has become saturated with water. I did not notice this until I started to leave the motor in the trimmed position while not in use. The leak seems to be starting at the top of shaft where it meets the motor head. Trying to find out if anyone has any ideas. Thank you <br />--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

The heavy oil is from the unburned fuel. It is normal though I don't know where yours is collecting before it leaks out.

check your orginal post from 1sr August, It worked for me. on page 3.
