SimpleMan.... As Myles has stated, disconnect the large RED electrical plug at the engine. Remove the spark plugs. Rig up some kind of spark tester so that you can set a 7/16" spark gap. Crank the engine via a small jumper from the battery side of the starter solenoid to the small 3/8" nut terminal wire that engages the solenoid.<br /><br />The spark should jump that gap with a strong blue lightning like flame. If you now have spark, in all probability, the ignition switch has shorted out.<br /><br />To test the ignition switch, reconnect the RED electrical plug, remove the black/yellow wire from the back of the ignition switch. If Crank the engine via the ignition switch. If you still have spark, replace the ignition switch. Keep us informed.
