I recently acquired a 10 hp johnson outboard model #QD -24b. I would like to know the year and if possible the fuel to oil ratio. Thanks

1963 fuel is 50-1

I run my early sixties OMC's at 32 to one, compromise between 24 to one and the oil skimpy 50-1 mix (I cant imagine running a motor at 100-1!)<br /><br />not that I am a parrot head, but THE JohnnyRude Guru on here said that the main reason those old motors are still around is cause they had plenty of lube running thru em

With a friction bearing on the small end of the connecting rod 24:1 is the OMC specified fuel mix.<br /><br />See my answwer to your duplicate (boo!) post.
