'78 Johnson 85hp, no spark, 1 cyl

I've got a '78 Johnson 85. I determined that one cylinder was not running. From there I determined that the cylinder's spark plug wire was not sending any spark to the plug.<br />How can I isolate whether the problem is with the ignition coil or power pack ?

take the coil pwr wire of the cyl that fires and put it on the one that dont have fire? this would be the wire held on with a nut not the black one.

Joe.... You have two (2) identical powerpacks. Switch them. If the problem follows the pack, the pack is faulty.
