Should you be using one of the older OMC control boxes, and if after disconnecting the cable as per Djohns instructions, you find that the jamming is within the control box, the following may apply.<br /><br />Within the older OMC control boxes is a three fingered shift lever (nylon tips). The two outer fingers have a extremely fine nylon edge. Should one of those finger edges chip (it happens), the control will be jamed and cannot be moved from that position. Part number 386542.<br /><br />If this is your problem and you have trouble locating one, I have two left in stock.
