The engine is running beautifully, but its idle seems a bit high @ 1050 RPM's (in the water). What should it be?

The second question is regarding the ignition key. Can the original OMC key be located somewhere with the rubber handle on it? Should I just call the local dealer?

Thanks,
Paul

According to the Clymer shop manual your 225 should idle at 600-700 rpm in forward gear.

On the ignition key - Any good locksmith/key shop can make a copy. They piel back the rubber just far enough to get it into their machine.
