When returning after a good day sailing yesterday the engine started to quit on me. I noticed the fuel line disconnected from the fuel tank. I re-attached the line and tried to prime the bulb but had difficulty. The bulb finally filled and while trying to start the engine, the fuel line kept popping off at the engine connection. Needless to say I could not get the engine to start even when i had the fuelline secured to the engine. I required a tow back to my slip. Any suggestions on why it will not start?

Thanks

Bob

Hi, Bob.

I would start at the fuel line connector. Why did it pop off? Why did it do it again?

I suspect that one of the "O" rings has shifted, both blocking fuel flow and preventing latching.

If there is no obvious fault from visual inspection, try a different fuel line.

Good luck. :)
