I have a 1966 100hp Evinrude which I have been working on a power issues with. I have replaced the coil, both battery cables, the syleniod (sp?), and the plugs. It runs great for about an hour or so until I shut it off. When I go to start it again it will not start. It shoots water out when it is running. After a good while it will crank and start again. Could this be a problem with my starter heating up? If so how can I check to see if this is the problem?
