If I replaced the total impellar and replaced both thermostats why do I still hear the alarm? Is it the senders or fuel restriction ? How do I check for the problem?

Did you change the water pump too. Is it pissing when you run her? Could be fuel, could be heat. Do you have a manual? What time of horn/whistle is it?

The whistle is not steady usually comes on above 2500 rpm and the VRO is still hooked up and the oil tank appears to be getting lower each time I use the boat. I can put my hand on the head by the thermostats without burning them. In order to trouble shoot this fuel ,oil, senders for thermstats where do I start?

When the horn is sounding, and you pull back on the throttle does it quit sounding right away?

I just came from the boat the whistle comes on in 7 to 20 sec intervals even at idle. The motor is not hot at all.
I have been having a alarm problem so I assumed the alarm would be steady like it was last season and kept the RPMs below 2500 till got back to the dock;but it appears this alarm is intermittent, it could be for something else.
What should I check for?

cmc.....if the alarm is a 1/2 sec alarm every 20 sec's or so, that is the low oil reservoir alarm. If the oil reservoir is full, the sending unit in the reservoir is at fault.

Try this.....remove the sending unit from the reservoir. Takes a torx screw driver. Remover the four screws that hold the unit in place. You'll see at the bottom what looks like a tin can with a rod through it. The rod is connected to a disc outside the tin can. The rod goes through the tin can and comes out the bottom. Turn the ignition key on and push up on the rod from the bottom of the tin can and hold it there. If the low reservoir alarm comes in, the sending unit is at fault. Replace it.

After fixing the alarm for low oil, I'm back with the steady alarm tone. How do I check for overheating & a fuel problem?
PS could it be the heat sensors?
