I have learnt S.L.O.W of my Johnson is activated at water temperatures of above 83 °C with the result revolution of the engine cannot exceed 2000 rpm within the overheating time.
I have had this in holiday, when I drove into a plastic bag, which had turned several times around the prop, limiting revolution so I only could drive very slowly but only for one minute's time.
But now I had a second much more annoying accident, when I drove into seaweed and the motor died and couldn't be restarted for 1 hour.
Is this a normal expectable S.L.O.W.-function?
Who knows ?

Nordy
