my motor cleverly has part of the model removed so i have the following:<br /><br />Model E70T__C<br />serial J1116970<br /><br />would appreciate <br /><br />Year <br />and<br />appropriate spark plug and gap.<br /><br />thanks

From 1980 to present OMC uses INTRODUCES.<br /><br />Where:<br /><br />I=1<br />N=2<br />T=3<br />R=4<br />O=5<br />D=6<br />U=7<br />C=8<br />E=9<br />S=0<br /><br />Since C=8, it would either be a 88 or a 98. I don't know why they didn't still use a metal placard instead of that @#$@#$ sticker!<br /><br />It may also have a "freeze" plug in the block that will have the numbers also.<br /><br />I don't have a plug book or manual on hand, but I can tell you that it is an Evinrude 70 horse with tilt and trim and electric start. <br /><br />FC
