150hp 1986 evinrude cutting out

i am having a problem with my motor. it is a 1986 150hp evinrude v6. it starts and idles fine, but when i get to about half throttle it boggs down and won't go anywhere unless i back it back off. can anyone give me suggestions?

Try feeding the carb's with a sqeese bottle of gas, and see if it picks up. If so, you probably got a dirty carb, or carbs.
