'78 85 johnson throttle controls

I have a 1978 johnson 85 that runs perfectly but recently my throttle controls went and i am not sure if i need to find the original throttle to replace it.If someone could inform me on the subject i would really appreciate it

sorry , i should have been more specific , the control box needs to be replaced , the actual throttle , not the cables . I took the binnacle controls apart and the insides were badly damaged and it will no longer shift into reverse.

You maybe able to purchase individual parts to repair your control box.Otherwise buy a current binnacle mount control box,and the needed wiring harnesses if the key switch is also in the binnacle control.<br />DHP

Thanks a lot , do you happen to have any idea how much that would cost? I'm trying to find the cheapest solution possible.
