hi i am looking for any wiring diagrams from engine to new omc controls with a 6 pin connector and 3 pin connector for the trim thanks.

What year is the motor? What year are the controls? There was a wiring change in 1996. There are adaptors to hook up any combination. IE; 1996 and newer motor to 1995 and older boat harness and vise versa.

not sure about the year but the engine has a round red plug for which i have the plug and harness the controls are the new type but i was going to chop the plugs and conect them just need to know where all the wires go this is my first boat many thanks.

do you have a serial number Robert?

Yours is 1995 or older. The model number will tell the year. <br /><br />I think what youre saying is that you have the 1995 & older harness but a 1996 & up control box. I really hate to see the harness cut up but all you have to do is match the color codes. You'll be way ahead, money-wise, by getting an OE manual with the wiring diagrams in it.

not sure will have a look tomorrow just got the engine this week from my landlord it was his old friends is the serial number on the engine?

most of the colors match up but a few dont do all the wires from the red plug go to the control box or do some go to other places sorry dont know to much about this i am a car mechanic and just starting on boats thanks for the help.
